

Moon's ShameClouds cover the moon like blackened lace, A veil to hide her jagged face. In shame she silently covers her scars, Envying the beauty of the twinkling stars. Slowly she crosses the darkened skies, While beneath her billowing veils she cries. Hiding behind the trees and hills, She pulls her veil more closer still. At last her journey has come to a close, As the sun appears in a brilliant glow. She shields her face from the revealing rays, Turning away from the earth’s judging gaze. As she slinks away, she doesn’t know, How beautiful she is to those below.Moon's Shame
